Practicing any form of witchcraft is, in itself, mainly a solitary pursuit for most people.
I have a couple of close friends and family who also dabble, which means I do have someone to share my interests with, but I felt the need for some more 'witchy' friends so I got busy googling.
Where do my tribe hang out? What are they searching for? How could I help? What do I want to learn? Who believes in the same values as me?
So many questions! Where do I start?
I have found myself bored with social media and constant scrolling, comparing myself to people who look like they are so much more talented than me. Making myself question what I am doing building a website and writing blog posts. Who will ever read them? Why would they read them? I think most of us actually feel this way so I began the search for something different. I remembered being on forums many moons ago so I decided to look for that first. I have been a member of www.getmessyart.com before, and I loved the interaction with other art journalers much more than just liking their instagram photos. It's a wonderful place to learn so much about art journaling and meet some great artists.
I needed a more magical, spiritual tribe though and I eventually stumbled upon www.spells8.com
What a revelation! Like the aha moment on a Judgement tarot card!
The site is so full of information, learning and guidance. You can pick out what you are most interested in and go down a magical rabbit hole. I popped over to the forum to have a peep and I realised straight away that I needed to sign up. After introducing myself I received so many lovely welcome messages that I felt all warm and fuzzy! if you are like me and want a place to hang out and make friends who travel the same path, look no further. If you join the site please have a look for me in the forum and say hello.
