I have a little shelf above my desk which has turned into my altar space. The things I like to have on it are (in no particular order), a card with the current moon phase, an oracle card, a little incense cone, a crystal, a rune, a candle, my poppet "Squeak" and a home made candle holder of choice with whatever helping hand I need. This week it was good old Twinkle with her inner child support! I added my new Twinkle Art Witch logo to infuse it with a bit of magic. The shelf itself was just a wire basket with an open back that I hooked on the wall. Some battery fairy lights and my prayer beads decorate it beautifully. This is my go to place for focus each time I go to my desk. An altar space does not have to be big. The trick is to find out how it can fit in your life. Where will you see it often so that it can have more influence? It is no good hidden away never to be visited, but, if you need to be more private you can make a wonderful travelling altar using a repurposed tin. I have plans for one of these to take with me when travelling!
